The Cape is steeped in Northwest history, including the story of Lewis & Clark and the Corps of Discovery Expedition to the Pacific Ocean. The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center illustrates their journey and the surrounding areas encompasses the ruins of military bunkers and coastal defense batteries. You can gape at the breathtaking views from the Cape Disappointment Bridge and hike in the old growth forest nearby.
