Blue Route Legislative Scenic Byway

Overview

This byway follows I476 from I95 in Chester north to Plymouth Meeting as it skirts around Philadelphia. In 1995, the Pennsylvania Department of Highways wanted a mid-county expressway and had drawn three options on a map. The Blue Route was chosen and thus the name. This byway gives access to the Colonial Plantation Ridley Creek State Park, Brandywine River Museum, Tyler Arboretum, and the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum.
