Byway Overview
This byway follows I-476 from I-95 in Chester north to Plymouth Meeting as it skirts around Philadelphia. In 1995, the Pennsylvania Department of Highways wanted a mid-county expressway and had drawn three options on a map. The Blue Route was chosen and thus the name. This byway gives access to the Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead located within Ridley Creek State Park, Brandywine River Museum, Tyler Arboretum, and the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum.
