Byway Overview
Maryland has beautiful, historic beaches and abundant birds. It also has wild horses! Travel from the Atlantic Ocean to the bays of Chincoteague, Sinepuxent, and Assawoman. Bring the camera and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Stop in Berlin for the Ocean Downs Casino, in Ocean City for the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum, and in Berlin for the Calvin B. Taylor Museum. Allow time at the Assateague Island National Seashore, near Berlin, for viewing the wild horses and birds. Enjoy the trails or stay at a primitive campsite.
