Enduring Farmlands Scenic Byway

Small-town agriculture is the focus of this byway as it travels through historic towns and pastoral landscapes of pecan groves, horse and cattle pasture lands, and farmland rich with corn, cotton, peanuts, soybeans, peaches, blueberries, and grapes. The area’s rural lifestyle and historic character have been maintained through farmer’s markets and festivals, civil war heritage sites, the architecture of Hawkinsville’s Old Opera House, the historic Lawrence Bennett Harness Horse racetrack, and many significant churches.
