Fallen Heroes Memorial Highway

Overview

The town of Wilton named this portion of Route 33 in honor of all soldiers, firefighters, and police officers who died in the line of duty. A section of road between Wilton and Westport was given this designation in 2009 and was inspired by the memory of 19-year-old Nick Madara, Army Private First Class, who lost his life in Iraq in 2006.
