Overview

Fish Lake, as it is appropriately named, offers excellent fishing for large Mackinaw trout, splake, rainbow trout, and kokanee salmon. This is Utah’s largest natural mountain lake. In the winter try snowmobiling, ice fishing, and cross-country skiing. This byway is in central Utah and is accessible just east of the intersection of Interstate 15 and Interstate 70. Visitors can also access this byway from Scenic Byway 12 connecting with Capitol Reef Country Scenic Byway and traveling west for 20 minutes to Fish Lake.
