Overview

This byway follows Highway 11, from the junction of US 12 to Greer. Travel up the Greer Grade for panoramic vistas of the Clearwater Valley. Stop in the town of Pierce where early settlers first discovered gold in Idaho. Be sure to visit the Lewis and Clark historical sites, Weippe Discovery Center, and the Clearwater National Forest. Opportunities abound for camping, fishing, riding, and hiking. In the winter, enjoy skiing and snowmobiling on groomed and open trails.
