Byway Overview

Taking US 136 between Edison and Brownville, explore America’s longest river- the Missouri River. Stop at Rock Creek Station State Historical Park and see the deep ruts carved by wagon wheels on the Oregon and California Trails. Learn about the Homesteading Act of 1862 and the expansion of the United States at the Homestead National Monument of America in Beatrice.
