Byway Overview
Visit 3 historic towns on State Route 89A! Start in Jerome with a stop at the Jerome Historic District and the Jerome State Historical Park’s Douglas Mansion to learn more about the state’s mining history. Travel on to Clarkdale to visit the Tuzigoot National Monument, the Verde Canyon Railroad, and their historic downtown. Then stop in Old Town Cottonwood Historic District and the Dead Horse Ranch State Park, just north of Cottonwood.
