Kinzua Bridge Byway

Overview

The Kinzua Bridge Byway travels into the hardwood forest of the Kinzua Bridge State Park in northwestern Pennsylvania. A skywalk was constructed on six of the Kinzua Viaduct massive steel towers that remained after a 2003 tornado destroyed 11 of the 20 towers and collapsed the middle of the viaduct. Once the highest and longest railroad viaduct in the world at 2,053 feet long and 301 feet high, it was rebuilt of steel in 1900 and was used until 1959. Bring the camera and take in the spectacular views of the Kinzua Gorge.
