Overview
Called the "Million Dollar View," this byway offers mountains, lakes and wildlife with front-row seating at scenic turnouts along US Route 1. Travelers can experience the views of the Chiputneticook chain of lakes including East Grand, Brackett and Deering (all teeming with fish), rolling hayfields, Mount Katahdin, Peekaboo Mountain and the landscape of New Brunswick, Canada. Wildlife along the way may include bears, deer, eagles, loons and moose.
