Monticello Crossroads Scenic Byway

Overview

Once used by Native Americans and evangelical Methodist Circuit Riders, this route was once also part of the Seven Island Stagecoach Road from Augusta to New Orleans and the Natchez Trace. Countryside views include pine forests and rolling pastures, much as the early travelers experienced.
