Mountain Pass Scenic Byway

Overview

This route follow highway 259 between Page and Octavia as it crosses the tops of the Ouachita Mountains and through the Winding Stair Mountain Recreational Area. Bring your camera! There are breathtaking vistas and secluded areas for hikers, backpackers, and horseback riders. There are several forested campgrounds located a short drive off the byway. Be sure to stop at the Kerr Arboretum.
