Overview

Travel through southeast Idaho and experience the turquoise water and sandy beaches, known as the “Caribbean of the Rockies.” Begin on Highway 89 from Bear Lake to Montpelier, then merge with Highway 30 to McCammon. Visit the Soda Springs Geyser, found while drilling for a swimming pool, and the Minnetonka Cave. Learn about the area at the National Oregon/California Trail Center and at the Butch Cassidy Museum at the Bank of Montpelier.
