Plantersville Scenic Byway

Overview

South Carolina's newest Scenic Highway is a 12 mile route adjacent to the Gret Pee Dee River in Georgetown County. It is the home to numerous historic sites related to the area's past rice culture. Samworth Plantation, owned by the SC Department of Natural Resources, is a great location for observing wildlife and learning about animal habitat in the area.
