Overview
This network of 28 roads in New Castle County is linked to the Red Clay Creek and its watershed. Natural areas provide habitat for an abundance of plants and animals. Learn more at the Ashland Nature Center. Take a ride on the Historic Red Clay steam train and or visit the covered bridges in the area. The 19th century grist, snuff, and paper milling industry can be seen at Yorklyn. Travel on these historic roads where horse and buggy originally rode and enjoy the same scenic vistas of pastoral flood plains, steep wooded hillsides, and the meandering creek.
