Overview

Hundreds of natural lakes are squeezed into the heavily forested Swan Valley, from Seeley Lake to Swan Lake. The Mission Mountains are to the west and the Swan Range to the east. The valley butts up to the Bob Marshall Wilderness, which straddles the Continental Divide. Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, golfing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, and cross-country skiing. The Old Squeezer Loop road is a premier birding location, complete with wildlife viewing benches. Try out the 4- mile Clearwater Canoe Trail for a different way to view the area’s wildlife.
