Skyline Parkway Scenic Byway

Overview

Overlooking the port city of Duluth, enjoy the birds-eye view of the harbor and the shoreline of Lake Superior. Recreational opportunities include hiking, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and picnicking. The Duluth Traverse Trail, a mountain bike trail, spans the entire length of the city of Duluth. At the north end of the byway is Hawk Ridge, an excellent place to watch migratory birds as they make their way through the area in the spring and fall.
