Thousand Springs Scenic Byway

Overview

This byway starts at I84 at Bliss and follows US Highway 30 along the Snake River to Hansen. Some of the sites to stop and visit are Thousand Spring State Park, Balanced Rock, Minidoka National Historic Site, and Shoshone Falls. See the 200 species of fossilized plants and animals at Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument. Hike a trail or visit Evil Knievel’s jump site but be sure to stay on designated trails as the ground can be unstable. Wear sturdy shoes and carry water and a flashlight.
