Overview
This route travels east and west across the state of Nevada from Lake Tahoe on the west side to the Great Basin National Park on the east side. In 1986, Life magazine called US 50 the “Loneliest Road in America”. The section in White Pine County is designated as a state byway as it travels from the Great Basin National Park westward to the community of Eureka.
