Byway Overview
As Nevada’s first scenic byway, this route travels through Lincoln and White Pine counties, and through the towns of Caliente and Pioche as it connects five state parks and the Great Basin National Park. Enjoy the sagebrush covered foothills leading to the 13,063-foot summit of Wheeler Peak. Solitude and the quiet night sky lends itself to ranger-led astronomy programs.
