General John Stark Scenic Byway

Imagine ambling along a stretch of roads in southern New Hampshire on a sunny Sunday afternoon, the kids in the back seat happily munching fresh, hot buttered popcorn bought at an old circus-style popcorn cart that has been operating since the 1930s. You turn and continue a few miles when you come upon an “out of the way” stretch of road that has numerous old buildings and structures along with plaques that tell interesting stories of the structures, the town, and ultimately its forefathers.
